Final Reflection

 The future of social justice is going to be full of progress as well as having to face more challenges.  People are sharing information and spreading awareness about issues that we are continuously facing today and this is a right step into fighting against the unfair systems that are set up. This is a sign that there is hope for social justice but at the same time as awareness is being spread a lot of misinformation is being spread as well this is causing there to be a rift in our communities and is putting a halt into the growth that I believe we all truly want.  During this course and doing these blogs weekly I have felt as though it is much easier to connect to social justice issues and the importance of learning about and understanding these issues. Not only do we have to understand the recent events about these issues but we have to learn about their history and really get down to the root cause and what the initial issue was. LGBTQ+ rights & Women's Rights

LGBTQ+  rights achieved a victory in the Dominican Republic where a rule that was banning gay sex gor members of the police and armed forces. The ban that was set before was used to punish, fire, and humiliate LGBTQ members in the security forces. The ruling to strike down this ban is a huge win because it gives LGBTQ members  the right to be who they are and be with who they choose to be and not have to worry about their preferences ruin their opportunities in their field of work.  This ruling is a step forward in the right direction but there is still a need to get rid of more forms of discrimination against the LGBTQ community. Everywhere across the world needs to protect their citizens from being harassed, discriminated against by the law, and continue to promote equality. A group that has supported LGBTQ rights is the Human Rights Campaign.
